The Support Committee of 2671 Trois-Rivières Army Cadet Corps and 772 Vanier Air Cadet Squadron (“the committee”) respects your privacy. This page explains what personal information the 2unites1force.ca website and our 2u1f.ca short links collect, why, and how long it is kept, in accordance with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

Short links and QR codes (2u1f.ca)

When you use a 2u1f.ca short link or scan one of our QR codes, we automatically record:

  • the date and time of the visit, the link used and whether it came from a QR code;
  • your IP address and the approximate location derived from it (country, region, city);
  • technical information sent by your browser: device type, browser, operating system, preferred language and referring page;
  • campaign parameters included in the link (for example utm_source);
  • a random identifier kept for 2 years in a cookie on the 2u1f.ca domain, which lets us tell new visitors from returning ones.

This information is used only to measure the effectiveness of our fundraising campaigns and communications. It is never sold or shared, and it is not used to identify you personally.

Retention

IP addresses are automatically anonymized after 12 months (the last part of the address is erased). Other visit statistics are kept in anonymous form.
