Thank you! The October 2026 bottle drive is over

A huge thank-you to every donor in Greater Trois-Rivières who set their refundable containers aside for the cadets on October 3 and 4.

Thank you as well to the volunteers, parents and support committee members who gave their time all weekend long, and to the Fondation des cadets de Trois-Rivières, our partner. And well done to the cadets of the seven participating units (2446, 2671, 226, 772, 817, 155 Laviolette and 170 Radisson), who walked the streets with energy and good humour!

Thanks to you, the cadets can take part in meaningful activities all year long. Missed them? The next bottle drive takes place in April, and you can bring your containers to the armoury on the first Wednesday of every month, from September to May.

The Greater Trois-Rivières cadet bottle drive

Twice a year, in April and October, the support committees of the region's cadet units, in partnership with the Fondation des cadets de Trois-Rivières, hold a big bottle drive. For one weekend, Saturday and Sunday, cadets from Trois-Rivières, Cap-de-la-Madeleine and Nicolet walk the streets of Greater Trois-Rivières to collect your bottles, cans and refundable containers.

Participating cadet units

• Army Cadets: 2671 (12e Régiment blindé du Canada) Army Cadet Corps, Trois-Rivières, and 2446 Army Cadet Corps, Cap-de-la-Madeleine
• Air Cadets: 772 Vanier and 226 Trois-Rivières squadrons, and 817 Général J.-V. Allard Squadron, Nicolet
• Sea Cadets: 170 Radisson Sea Cadet Corps
• Navy League: 155 Laviolette Navy League Cadet Corps

Every container you hand them helps fund their activities: outings, competitions and experiences that shape tomorrow's leaders. For you, it's a few fewer bags in the garage; for them, it's one more adventure.

How to support the cadets

• Set your containers aside in the weeks leading up to the bottle drive.
• Watch for the cadets in your neighbourhood on Saturday and Sunday, and hand them your bags.
• Not home? Bring your containers to HMCS Radisson, 1000 chemin de l'Île-Saint-Christophe, Trois-Rivières, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. during the bottle drive weekend.
• Spread the word to your neighbours and follow us on Facebook for upcoming dates.

All year long: drop your bags off at the armoury

No need to wait for the next bottle drive! From September to May, on the first Wednesday of every month, bring your bags of refundable containers to the Général Jean-Victor Allard Armoury, 574 Saint-François-Xavier Street, Trois-Rivières between 6:30pm and 9pm.

All refundable containers are accepted.
